Miu Miu expands in China

Miu Miu continues its expansion in mainland China opening a second store in Beijing.

Located in the recently renovated department store Intime 88, the new Miu Miu, designed by architect Roberto Baciocchi, spans 405 sqm over two floors. It offers ready-to-wear on the first floor and footwear, handbags and accessories on the ground floor.

A glass and metal façade is embedded with light boxes framed in polished steel and showcasing images from the current Miu Miu print campaign. Behind the windows hangs a perforated metal curtain ensuring privacy while allowing diffused light to filter through.

Inside, the walls are clad in signature gold damask while display trays and cabinets are lined with a mirrored honeycomb motif to frame products in glittering surfaces.

Flooring and the staircase are crafted from matt black marble, while metal-framed chairs upholstered in coloured silk velvet offer intimacy and comfort.

The ceiling is clad in perforated metal, screen-printed with the same damask design as the walls, bringing a sense of unity and harmony to the whole design.
