Wingstop makes Philippine debut

Texas-based restaurant chain Wingstop has opened the first of 50 restaurants planned for the Philippines.

The new restaurant debuted at Regis Center, Katipunan, in Quezon City.

The opening is part of a large multi-site rollout agreement with Wingstop Philippines and underscores the rapid international expansion of the restaurant concept that now has more than 640 locations worldwide.

Additional locations in the country are already in development and the second and third restaurants will open soon.

Wingstop also has restaurants in Singapore, Russia and Mexico. The first location in the United Arab Emirates is scheduled to open later this year.

With a sole focus on cooked-to-order chicken, the Wingstop menu features wings sauced and tossed in nine flavours including Lemon Pepper, Louisiana Rub and Original Hot. The Philippines menu also offers hand-breaded chicken tenders with six dips to choose from, including Blue Cheese, Honey Mustard and BBQ.
