South Korean consumer sentiment improves

South Korean consumers are more optimistic about the economy.

The Bank of Korea’s recent findings shows composite consumer sentiment index (CCSI) for June stood at 107, up two points from May.

Consumer sentiment on current living standards was one point higher than in the previous month at 92, and that on their outlook two points higher at 101, it says.

While the consumer sentiment regarding current domestic economic conditions was up by three points compared to May, at 79, and that for their future outlook by four points, at 98.

The findings also show consumer sentiment on prospective changes in household income had risen by one point to 102, and that on expected spending was two points higher at 110.
