Lotte Duty Free debuts in Japan

South Korean duty free operator Lotte has now expanded into Japan.

The first Lotte Duty Free shop is located at Kansai International Airport. It covers 330sqm and is initially focusing on Korean products, including cosmetics.

“The main reason to open Lotte Duty Free is to attract customers from Southeast Asia and China,” said Kumiko Kushida, manager of duty free business sales, retail management and commercial marketing department, New Kansai International Airport Co.

Lotte has a downtown store and airport shops in Jakarta and shops and boutiques in Guam Airport as well as dominating its home market.
