Dunkin’ Donuts India expansion on track

Baked goods and coffee chain Dunkin’ Donuts remains on track to open 500 restaurants across India over the long-term.

Since signing its master franchise agreement with local partner Jubilant FoodWorks in 2011, 36 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants have been opened in 12 cities across India, including its newest location which opened in the South Indian city of Bangalore. With the latest restaurant opening, Dunkin’ Donuts now has a presence in three of India’s most significant urban markets, Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in India serve a wide range of beverages, sandwiches and baked goods, including Dunkin’ Donuts’ Original Blend coffee. The brand also serves regional products that cater to local tastes, including the Wicked Wrap, which features marinated spicy chicken tenders and nachos wrapped in a multigrain tortilla, and Spiked Iced Tea, freshly brewed iced tea splashed with sweet and exotic spices.

“Since opening our first restaurants in New Delhi in 2012, we’ve expanded our presence to a number of other cities across India, including Mumbai, Gurgaon and Punjab. With the opening of our new restaurant in Bangalore, Dunkin’ Donuts is well on its way to having a national presence in India,” said John Varughese, VP, Dunkin’ Brands India, Middle East and Southeast Asia.
