SM Store launches online

The SM Store has launched an eCommerce website, shop.thesmstore.com.

The new online shopping site offers men’s, womenswear, childrenswear, accessories, apparel, bags, shoes, luggage and gift ideas.

The SM Store offers door-to-door deliveries to most parts of the Philippines through logistics partners, but shoppers have the option to collect their purchases at SM North EDSA 24 hours after they place their orders online.

The SM Store says it will further enhance this option in due course through possible pick-ups in all Metro Manila and Luzon SM stores after two working days. In Visayas and Mindanao, the SM Store will eventually extend the pick-up arrangements in their branches in Mandurriao, Bacolod, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan de Oro and General Santos. Nationwide coverage is targeted in 2015, after the soft launch of the site this year.

“The online shopping site will bring us closer to our new generation of millennial shoppers. Our commitment is to provide convenience and accessibility to our customers through innovation. We remain cognisant of the evolution of shopping trends throughout the years. We hope that with this new e-commerce site, we will be able to reach out to more of our customers by bringing more attractive brands online and provide them a more exciting and diverse shopping experience with SM,” Jorge Mendiola, president at SM Retail said.

There are curently 50 SM Stores in the Philippines.

SM’s department store business, now branded The SM Store, offers an array of merchandise from fashion to home furnishings, complemented by inspired and aspirational store designs that offer convenience and accessibility.

SM has changed the business landscape of retailing by setting the standards with its dynamic group of stores, focusing on emerging regional centers in the country and leading the way in enhancing lifestyles and providing an aspirational and refined luxury customer experience.
