H&M Macau opens doors

Swedish retailer H&M has opened the doors of its new two story Macau store, marking its last new market expansion.

The 19,000 sqft store is located in The Shoppes at Venetian Macao and stocks a full range of fashion for men, women and children.

Special guest at the opening ceremony was football and fashion celebrity David Beckham, whose hand selected menswear collection Modern Essentials is stocked by the chain.

The store was officially opened in a ribbon cutting ceremony by Magnus Olsson, H&M country manager for Greater China, Anna Rathsmann, H&M regional sales manager of Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, and Poki Wong, H&M store manager at Shoppes at Venetian.

Beckham stopped by in the afternoon drawing the usual crowd of fans.

“I’m very happy to be able to spend time with my fans at H&M’s grand opening at Shoppes at Venetian. It is fantastic to be a part of this celebration, and I am happy to see that my extended collaboration with H&M, the Modern Essentials collection, is being sold at H&M’s first store opening in Macau,” the superstar said.

“Each piece from the collection is a take on a new wardrobe classic that we envision updating every man’s spring wardrobe; it is exciting to see the positive response from my fans towards this collection so far”.

The new store will trade from 10am to 11pm Monday-Thursday and until midnight Friday-Sunday.
