Jimmy Choo in Hong Kong charity drive

Shoe designer Jimmy Choo is partnering with the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel in a month-long charity drive to benefit 22 local agencies.
Jimmy Choo was the original founder of the retail brand bearing his name, although he is no longer associated with the chain. Instead, he now has his own separate, London-based business Jimmy Choo Couture.
For the duration of the Hong Kong charity campaign – which runs from November 9 to December 8 – people are invited to make a donation of a minimum of HK$50 to the project. In return they will receive an outline of a shoe and are encouraged to design their own party shoes by coloring, and even adding ornaments, spangles, trimmings or patterns to the outline.
Donors should return the design on the sketch paper to the hotel by December 8.
Jimmy Choo will then select his favourite design with the winner, announced within one month of the closing date, to receive a handmade miniature shoe of their design and Jimmy’s autograph.
All the money raised will be shared between 22 beneficiaries in Hong Kong to help children, the elderly, and mentally or physically challenged people.
Donors can visit the charity counter in the hotel lobby daily from 11 am to 8 pm for details, to purchase a sketch paper, or to submit a design.
