Hong Kong retail jobs fair starts November 11

The Labour Department says a Hong Kong retail jobs fair to run November 11-12 will offer some 4800 vacancies.
The department is running the event at the Domain shopping mall in Yau Tong.
A total of 54 organisations from the retail industry, offering about 4800 vacancies, will participate in the fair. Twenty-seven participating organisations will set up counters and conduct onsite recruitment each day.
The vacancies offered cover a wide variety of retail-related positions such as store manager, beauty advisor, shop data entry person, sales assistant, cashier, shop assistant, security guard, storekeeper and driver. Job seekers can find more information on the department’s Interactive Employment Service website.
About three-quarters of the vacancies are full-time jobs and most offer monthly salaries ranging from $8000 to $15,000. Over 98 per cent of the vacancies require a Secondary Six education level or below. Around 64 per cent of the vacancies are open to job seekers who may lack relevant experience.
The job fair will be held from 11am to 5.30pm at the Atrium, G/F, Domain, Yau Tong (38 Ko Chiu Rd, Yau Tong, Kowloon). Admission is free.
