Russian restaurateur Bulldozer Group has opened its first eatery in Hong Kong.

The Seafood Room, located on the top floor of Tower 535, on Jaffe Rd in Causeway Bay, is part of the international food and beverage company’s planned expansion into Asia.

Seafood Room features an 8000 sqft dining room and a 2000 sqft rooftop lounge and serves a wide range of local and imported seafood and globally inspired cuisine including Asian, Mediterranean and South American dishes, says Bulldozer Group business development director for Hong Kong, Barbara Kukhno.

“Hong Kong is a vibrant city with a mixed culture. With a local population that loves to dine out and a high demand for business entertainment, it is a fantastic market for a new venture like us. We also noticed that seafood is very popular in the city, hence it is a great market for us to target.”

Kukhno said Bulldozer Group has established a regional headquarters for the group in Hong Kong.

“We plan to open three more restaurants and clubs in Hong Kong in the upcoming two years. We also plan to expand into Mainland China, in top-tier cities such as Shanghai and Beijing.”

Founded in 1998, Bulldozer Group is an investment and brand management company operating over 80 restaurants and bars in the UAE, Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. With cuisines ranging from Japanese and Asian to Italian and Russian, the group has successfully opened brands that are aligned with celebrated restaurateurs globally such as Toko Dubai and Sass Cafe Dubai in the UAE.

Invest Hong Kong assisted the Bulldozer Group’s move into the territory.
