CNP Cosmetics Korea launches luxury brand

A new luxury cosmetics brand, CNP Rx, has been launched by CNP Cosmetics Korea, which is owned by LG Household & Health Care (LG H&H).

The first CNP Rx retail store has opened in the main Hyundai Department Store in Gangnam, Seoul, and there are plans for more department store outlets.

While original CNP Cosmetics products are available at drugstores and online shopping malls, CNP Rx will be sold only in department stores and high-end retail channels. With its name a combination of CNP with the slogan “Real Experience”, the new brand is driven by the philosophy that users will “truly experience” improvements to their skin, says the company.

CNP Rx offers 35 products developed by the firm’s dermatologists and experts under four skincare programs – protection, management, retainment and care. Prices range from 48,000 won ($42) to 180,000 won.

There will also be the “Rx-ray” service at the outlets, CNP’s specialised skin examination technology that helps customers choose the right products for their skin.

Meanwhile, LG H&H’s stock price reached a record high yesterday, following an affiliate’s highest-ever quarterly performance thanks to its cosmetics business led by Whoo and SU:M37.
