Parkway Parade back in business after fire

Singapore’s Parkway Parade has reopened after repairs following a fire at the shopping mall around midnight last Sunday.

“Thank you for your kind patience,” the mall management told followers on its Facebook page after the four day closure.

Nobody was hurt in the fire, which broke out in a shop on level two of the seven-storey mall in Marine Parade around midnight on Sunday.

The building and its carpark were closed while the mall’s fire protection system was repaired. Only the adjoining office tower and banks on level one were open this week.
