Manolo Blahnik expanding in Asia

Shoe brand Manolo Blahnik is expanding in Asia with help from Hong Kong luxury goods importer Bluebell Group.

Bluebell will hold the distribution rights and manage retail development for Manolo Blahnik in Japan, Malaysia and Singapore.

For Japan, the brand will have its first shop-in-shop this autumn, designed by Nick Leith-Smith Architecture and Design. A Tokyo flagship will be opened next year. Bluebell Group will also support the 41 outlets already selling the brand in Japan.

Also this autumn, the brand will set up its first Malaysian flagship, in the Pavilion Mall in Kuala Lumpur. Meanwhile, in Singapore, the Manolo Blahnik shop-in-shop at Takashimaya will be taken over by Bluebell Singapore, with a refurbishment scheduled for autumn.

“With Bluebell as our partners, we are excited about exploring and building the business in these regions and further territories,” says Manolo Blahnik International CEO Kristina Blahnik.

Manolo Blahnik has 290 points of sale in 33 countries as well as 11 standalone stores, including two in Hong Kong and one in Seoul.
