Practicology sees Hong Kong as launch pad

British eCommerce consultancy Practicology has opened a regional office in Hong Kong as a launch pad to gain access to the mainland China market and Asia Pacific.
Its Hong Kong office offers holistic packages through such online channels as strategic consulting, business internationalisation, data and customer relationship management, business analytics, digital marketing, conversion rate optimisation, wireframing and design.
“We have seen an increasing demand for practical eCommerce and multichannel consulting services among mainland companies,” says Practicology country manager for greater China, Arthur Cheung.
“As many global and mainland retailers already have a presence in Hong Kong, it is important for us to follow their footprint to expand our client base here so we can provide them better services.
“Hong Kong is at the doorstep of mainland China, which is a locational advantage. Its workforce is also well versed with international and mainland business practices and perspectives. The city is an ideal hub for establishing our team to oversee greater China business as well as the region in general.”
He says the company is also planning to establish a presence in Shanghai, and later in India.
“Hong Kong has a world-class telecommunications infrastructure and connectivity that attracts eCommerce and eMarketing businesses,” says Practicology associate director-general of investment promotion Dr Jimmy Chiang.
Founded in the UK in 2009, Practicology is a strategic multichannel and eCommerce consultancy with offices in London, Sydney, Melbourne and Hong Kong. It has more than 50 consultants.
