In partnership with the travel retailer DFS Group, chocolatier Lindt Asia has opened a shop-in-shop concept at Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA).
The outlet has a wall feature for the first time highlighting the latest Lindt pick-and-mix in Asia. Lindt believes the concept will enable travellers to discover the company’s assortment of Lindor chocolate truffles and create their own mix.
Another feature is a bespoke space for demonstrations by Lindt master chocolatiers, starting late this year.
“This engaging approach to the food and gifts segment will provide travellers with a lasting memory of their travels,” says DFS senior VP for food and gifts Thierry Canivet.
Lindt & Sprüngli global duty-free division head Peter Zehnder says the Asian market presents the travel retail sector with considerable opportunities. He says the new venture is the first of a series of initiatives to capitalise on this potential.
