Bonjour Holdings warns of loss

Retailer Bonjour Holdings is expecting a net loss for the six months ended June 30 following a net profit of about HK$424.021 million (US$54.676 million) in the corresponding period last year.
It says the change is mainly because of a one-off non-operating profit from discontinued stores in the period last year, plus a drop in turnover because of the prolonged sluggish consumer market in Hong Kong.
Bonjour owns 47 retail stores in Hong Kong, Macau and Guangzhou, and sells more than 26,000 lines. It specialises in exclusive distribution, international brands and in-house brands. Eight Bonjour branches have an auxiliary shop, More Mall, specialising in snacks from Japan, Korea and Taiwan.
The company is finalising its consolidated financial results for the six months.
