South Korea’s Clio mulls Singapore flagship

Preparing for expansion, South Korea’s Clio cosmetics brand is expected to open a Singapore flagship store.

This follows a S$68 million (US$50 million) cash injection from L Capital Asia, the private equity arm of luxury group LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton.

Clio plans to expand quickly across China and Southeast Asia in a bid to capitalise on the demand for Korean products. It will be able to work with beauty retail platform Sephora and duty-free shop group DFS, which are both owned by LVMH.
