Modest rise for Philippine retail sales

Philippine retail sales rose a modest 2.16 per cent in July, compared with a year ago.

That’s a lower rate than in June when the official figure was 2.53 per cent, and roughly the same as in May, when sales grew 2.17 per cent.

The three months remain the highest growth period on a monthly basis in more than two years.
