DJI Hong Kong flagship opens at Causeway Bay

A range of activities will mark tomorrow’s opening of the three-storey DJI Hong Kong flagship store adjacent to the World Trade Center.

In Causeway Bay, the drone specialist’s 10,000+ sqft (930 sqm) store will display its full range of aerial and handheld devices. The flight cage on the ground floor will showcase drones in action while the SkyPixel Gallery on the first floor will feature international aerial photography. A technical support centre and space for workshops, seminars and special events can be found on the second floor.

Life-size DJI Phantom and Osmo mascots will launch tomorrow’s celebration with a street parade around Causeway Bay.

A flight cage and virtual-reality experience zone will be set up outside the World Trade Center for people who want to experience being in the pilot’s seat. People wanting to play the role of movie director, an Osmo (stabilised handheld camera) will be on hand. Workshops by aerial photographers plus dance and music performances will lead into the evening.

Opening at noon, the store will offer its first 200 customers discounts of up to 30 per cent on selected products.

“We want to provide a truly unique experience for anyone who walks into our store so they leave with a sense of curiosity, excitement or inspiration,”says DJI founder/CEO Frank Wang.

The Hong Kong flagship store is DJI’s third foray into retail after the December opening of its first flagship store in Shenzhen, followed by the Seoul flagship in March.
