The Blackstone India shopping centre portfolio continues to grow after the acquisition of a Pune mall.

Blackstone is to pay US$60 million for Westend Mall according to unnamed sources quoted by local news media.

The 400,000 sqft mall would take the Blackstone India mall portfolio to 3.4 million sqft.

If the deal proceeds, it would be the fifth mall acquisition for the Private equity company in just two years. It already owns centres in Mumbai and Coimbatore.
