Lagom offers Scandinavian style for HK homes

Scandinavian homewares store Lagom has opened in Prince Edward Road West, next to Mongkok’s Flower Market Road.
It offers a curated selection of Scandinavian designer home-decor items including accessories and tableware, many exclusive.
Founders Lars (Swedish) and Hilda (Hong Kong) say that Lagom is a Swedish expression meaning enough, sufficient, just right.
“This is our guideline when choosing homewares for our shop,” say the couple.
The store features Scandinavian brands like Anderssons (steel bowls/candle holders) and Bengt & Lotta (traditional interior designs). Most items are produced by hand in Sweden, like the black/white Foldabowl fruit/flower basket, recycled-glass vases and the colourful “dish cloths” common in Scandinavian homes.
Also featured is tableware and lifestyle brand Saara with its Hong Kong-based Finnish designer, offering stoneware mugs, cups and plates.
The store is set in a high-ceilinged building from the early 1930s and is decked out in contemporary Scandinavian style.
Meanwhile, Lagom will be participating in net week’s Conrad Christmas pop-up store in the ballroom of the Conrad Hotel in Admiralty.
