Revamp for Taikoo Cityplaza

Swire Properties is to reshape the tenancy mix at Taikoo Cityplaza.
The mall operator is enhancing its food and beverage offer with eateries accounting for nine of 12 new tenants scheduled to open their doors in the first half of 2017.
Perhaps the highest-profile opening with be Dan Ryan’s Chicago Grill, which closed in Pacific Place in April.
That business will be joined by The Night Market, Hokkaidon, Passion by Gerald Dubois, and the Agnes b-run b. yourself cafe, among others.
“We’re very proud to break a record as the popular destination on Hong Kong island to house so many delicious eateries – 70 in total,” Aileen Chan, GM of Cityplaza, said.
In another change, Cityplaza’s UA Cinema will close in February, to be replaced by Broadway Cinema’s new concept branch Movie Movie, a six-screen cinema.
Chan said foot traffic has increased in Cityplaza during the last few months, inspiring a positive outlook on the retail market in 2017.
