H&M China ‘best company to work for’

H&M has been rated the “Best Company to Work for in Greater China 2016”.
The award was presented by the Great Place to Work Institute along with “2016 China’s Best Corporate Social Responsibility” award from Zhilian Human Resource Service Company.
Held in Hong Kong, the Great Place to Work Institute is described as a global authority on building, sustaining and recognising high-trust, high performing workplace cultures.
This year, 137 companies applied for the honour, H&M China winning due to its strong corporate culture and its career possibilities offered to its employees. It is the third successive year H&M has taken the accolade.

Last week, Zhilian Human Resource Service Company held an employer branding awards presentation ceremony in Sanya, Mainland China, highlighting organisations which have demonstrated all-round and outstanding great workplace for its employees.  The company works together with the Peking University on a survey to identify the best employer in Mainland China, covering 34 cities and  9740 companies.

“I am very proud that H&M is being recognised and presented with two prestigious employer branding awards in 2016,” said Magnus Olsson, country manager of H&M Greater China.
“At H&M, there is no pre-set career path as we promote endless opportunities and a unique corporate culture.  We hope to continue to provide an outstanding workplace for all our employees who are our most valuable asset. They are the prerequisite for our success and that fantastic shopping experience we want to deliver every single day,” he said.
H&M has more than 148,000 employees worldwide and Olsson said the company has a strong corporate culture.
“It is based on a number of values that describe in simple terms how we want to work: believe in people; we are one team; constant improvement; a straightforward and open-minded, entrepreneurial spirit; keep it simple; and be cost-conscious.”
The company offers a diversified ‘glocal’ training system and incentive plans to ensure every individual will have opportunities for internal job transfer, promotion and overseas development.
