Ippoh Tempura Bar opens at Dempsey

Dempsey is now home to the newest offshore restaurant opened by famous Osaka Japanese restaurant Ippoh.

Described as Osaka’s oldest premium tempura restaurant, dating back to 1850, the 1200 sqft eatery houses just 18 diners at a time, enhancing the exclusive feel of the dining experience and allowing everyone to watch the food being prepared right before their eyes.

At Ippoh Tempura Bar at Como, every piece of tempura is fried individually, with the chef controlling the temperature according to the piece. The new Singapore outlet will be overseen by fifth-generation member of Ippoh’s founding family, Masaru Seki.
