Hello Kitty supermarket opens in Hong Kong

A pop-up Hello Kitty supermarket has opened in Hong Kong.
The themed grocer is located inside department store chain Yata’s new outlet in Sai Wan on Hong Kong Island, and offers about 250 Hello Kitty-themed items like sushi, egg rolls, macarons and even soy sauce, as well as Hello Kitty pasta, Hello Kitty salad and Hello Kitty apples.
Everything from the shopping carts to shopping bags are infused with elements of the Sanrio character, with the cartoon character even being the store manager, according to Apple Daily.
The store will be open until May.
Meanwhile, Sanrio and Yata have set up a promotional van on Hong Kong Island to distribute popcorn, candy floss and cash vouchers for the Hello Kitty supermarket.
