Embrace Jewellery organising charity drive

Singaporean multibrand store Embrace Jewellery, in collaboration with the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations (SCWO), is organising a charity drive.

Re-Embrace Charity Drive (2)

Starting on March 8 in conjunction with International Women’s Day, the Re-Embrace Charity Drive aims to encourage people to donate jewellery pieces and accessories for resale at SCWO’s New2U Thrift Shop. Proceeds will go to Star Shelter, which offers a temporary refuge for women in crisis, as well as other SCWO initiatives.

Donations must be in good condition without scratches, chips or tarnish. Fine jewellery in gold or set with diamonds or precious stones will not be accepted. Each donation must have a minimum of three pieces of jewellery, such as necklaces, pendants, earrings, bracelets, rings, cufflinks, anklets and brooches.

All items collected will be sterilised and cleaned by the company’s staff before being passed on to SCWO for sale at the New2U Thrift Shop. Donations will be accepted at Embrace Jewellery at Takashimaya, Kai Life at Holland Road Shopping Centre and Kai Life at Great World City.

Each donor will receive a $5 Embrace Jewellery gift voucher and also go into a lucky draw with jewellery prizes worth S$2000 (US$1418) altogether. The prizes are being sponsored by jewellery brands Fervor Montreal, Unode50 and Velatti, with the draw closing on May 8.
