A two-week Lacoste pop-up store opens in Singapore this month as its final stop following appearances in Australia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand.
It features an embroidery service, new embroidered motifs and a range of L.12.12 lifestyle products. The French clothing company’s hallmark L.12.12 polo shirt, designed for sportsmen, was devised in 1933 by former tennis champion René Lacoste, made from an entirely new fabric, petit piqué.
There is also a lucky draw for customers to win a S$4500 trip to Paris for the French Open in June.
The 22m by 2m L.12.12 pop-up store at VivoCity stands in front of the Lacoste boutique in the West Boulevard Atrium. At one end of the pop-up is a prominent 3D display of the brand’s crocodile mascot, while the other end of the store is anchored by the petit piqué embroidery booth and a layered display of products including footwear, leather goods, watches, eyewear and fragrances. A display counter runs the length of the pop-up showcasing the latest L.12.12 polos in a range of colours.
To mark the occasion of the first Lacoste pop-up in Singapore, there is a new embroidery motif of Lacoste playing tennis, plus new motif options including country flags. Customers may opt to embroider their initials instead. The embroidery service is complimentary for every polo-shirt purchase.
Opening on March 20, the pop-up store runs until April 2.
