Shopee Singapore introduces B2C mall

E-commerce platform Shopee Singapore has launched Shopee Mall, a dedicated in-app space for B2C sellers.

It offers consumers access to thousands of products from more than 200 sellers and such brands as 3M, L’Oreal, Philips and Reckitt Benckiser. All products on Shopee Mall carry a 100 per cent guarantee of authenticity, free shipping and a 15-day return policy.

Shopee Singapore country head Zhou Junjie says the mall aims to meet the increasing demand by Singaporeans for a streamlined online shopping experience.

A new HSBC survey shows that 94 per cent of online shoppers in Singapore identify reliability and trust as key considerations when making a purchase. Shopee Mall aims to bolster both attributes by verifying all its sellers via the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority.

“As we scale up our B2C efforts, customers can shop conveniently from hundreds of leading brands. At the same time, Shopee Mall helps brands to reach out to more customers while building consumer confidence,” says Junjie.

Shoppers who wish to return purchases can do so using provided prepaid postage labels. A PWC survey last year showed that Southeast Asian shoppers expect this service from e-commerce businesses.

Shoppers can identify Shopee Mall product listings with a new red “Mall” label. On the portal, shoppers can navigate between key brands, category campaigns and personalised recommendations. During the launch period, from today, Shopee Mall is offering exclusive campaigns including opening sales with discounts of up to 80 per cent, voucher codes and giveaways.
