Brought up in Hong Kong, London-based luxury footwear designer Lucy Choi may return to her roots with Asia on her mind for future expansion.

She has revealed this ambition to Sino as she celebrates the fifth anniversary of her brand and store, Lucy Choi London, by launching the Heritage line, just in time for London Fashion Week. She lives in London’s Bayswater with her husband and two sons.

As well as her uncle and mentor being footwear designer Jimmy Choo, Choi has a degree in business plus a decade of experience at French Sole.

“I grew up watching my uncle design shoes but I wanted to do my own thing,” she says. “Leaving French Sole after 10 years was hard – it felt like my own company because I’d been part of it for so long.”
