Marble Slab Creamery arrives in Bangladesh

BangladeshMarble Slab Creamery has taken its fresh-made ice-cream concept to Bangladesh through a master franchise agreement with Shanta Holdings.

Through the Global Franchise Group (GFG), the creamery is now offering its customisable ice cream in the capital city of Dhaka, with plans for further outlets throughout Bangladesh.

GFG president/CEO Chris Dull says the opening in Bangladesh represents the company’s interest in Southeast Asia’s “burgeoning” ice-cream market.

The Dhaka store is in a new commercial building surrounded by embassies, banks, schools and top-tier residential areas. For its official opening it gave away Marble Slab t-shirts for the first 500 customers.

“Marble Slab Creamery’s fresh ice cream and gourmet mix-ins made me fall in love with ice cream again – so much so I knew we needed to bring the brand to Bangladesh,” says MD Mayesha Khondoker of Shanta Multiverse, the subsidiary of Shanta Holdings that owns and runs the creamery in Bangladesh.

Marble Slab Creamery has 136 international destinations, including Singapore.
