Ocean Terminal Deck, an extension of Harbour City, has opened with free public access.
On the rooftop of Ocean Terminal, the observation deck is a five-storey complex beside Victoria Harbour offering a 270 degree panorama overlooking the harbour, Hong Kong Island and Kowloon.
Designed by London-headquartered Foster + Partners, the extension aims to become a new city icon with 11 harbour-view restaurants offering global cuisines, each with alfresco dining areas.
Six have yet to open, but in service are ANA Ten (Japanese), Hexa (Guangdong), Paper Moon (Italian), Tsukada Nojo (Japanese) and Xi He Ya Yuan (Beijing). Scheduled to open before year’s end are A Nu Retrouvez-vous (French, via Japan) and Fu Rong (Sichuan).
A feature of the deck is two outdoor event spaces, one being natural lawn. A grandstand seating up to 200 people faces the outdoor performance venue.
