Changi Airport marks World Chocolate Day

Changi Airport celebrated World Chocolate Day on July 7 with special activities and free chocolates given to passengers.

Chocolates and confectionery have been amongst the top five most popular product categories in Changi Airport since 2013.

Passengers passing through immigration were given chocolate treats as the passed a “Mascot Parade” of Oreo, M&M’s and Changi Airport’s Max mascots.

One of the celebration’s highlights was the Chocolate Race held in the So Chocolate retail store in the Terminal 2 Departure Transit. Chocolate prizes valued at S$300 were presented to the winners of the hourly race events.

The promotion was also marked by special deals in airport stores only available on the day, as well as by the appearance of a life-sized chocolate sculpture of the Max the Plane mascot.

It is the first time the airport has observed the international special day.
