Shilla marks four years at Changi Airport

Korean duty free retailer Shilla will be celebrating its fourth anniversary in Changi Airport in October with an appearance from its new brand ambassadors, popular K-pop group Highlight.

Shilla’s VP of global merchandise Raelene Johnson said: “The Shilla Duty Free Singapore has enjoyed great success since operations began in 2014, and we could not be more grateful for the public’s support as we approach our fourth anniversary. In appreciation of all our loyal customers who have shopped with us, we’re thrilled to bring Highlight to Singapore, and give fans the golden opportunity to get up close and personal with their favourite stars.”

The Shilla Duty Free is the first travel retailer to operate the cosmetics & perfumes category in three major hub airports in East Asia (Incheon, Changi, Hong Kong). It also operates several fashion boutiques in Changi Airport, including Bottega Veneta, Victoria’s Secret, and two Maison de Chronus watch boutiques.

Changi Airport’s senior VP of airside concessions Teo Chew Hoon said: “We are dedicated to continue our strong partnership with Shilla to create more experiential events for our passengers.”

The brand is marking the event with a promotional competition offering a chance to meet the stars with every S$200 (US$146) spent in-store, as well as other in-store events and brand promotions throughout October.

The Korean celebrities will be appearing in Singapore for the first time at the launch.
