Brunello Cucinelli sales surge in greater China

Fashion label Brunello Cucinelli has posted a 35.3 per cent rise in sales in its greater China market in its half-year financial report.

The Chinese business accounted for 9.2 per cent of its total sales, amounting to €24.9 million (US$29 million) in revenues. Growth in the Chinese market was significantly higher than in all other regions worldwide, although sales increases were recorded across the board. The company’s net revenues reached €269.5 million (US$314.7 million).

Chairman and CEO Brunello Cucinelli said the company’s management was greatly satisfied with the result, which comprised “significant figures that report constant growth of both revenues and profit”.

“We expect 2018 to close with double-digit growth of both EBITDA and profit.”
