Go Lokal! takes Philippine products to Tokyo

The Go Lokal! marketing platform will showcase Philippine products in Tokyo next month.

The Department of Trade and Industry’s (DTI) flagship program to offer free market incubation and brand testing for local businesses is using the store as a conduit for original Philippines creations. The products are designed to blend the traditional beauty of local materials with the modern functionality of Japanese design. Twenty-seven Philippine social enterprises are represented at the store.

Two international product specialists have been commissioned to build a collective that introduces Philippine culture to Japanese simplicity and a western focus on colour and texture.

The products will be exhibited in collaboration with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center Tokyo, the Japan Institute of Design Promotion (JDP), and Nohara Holdings at venues in Chiyoda, Tokyo.
