Harry Potter merchandiser Museum Context has launched a themed outlet at Hong Kong International Airport.
The Scotland-headquartered firm, managed by retailer Andrew McRae, has opened the store in response to continued demand for Harry Potter products in Asia, which has seen consistent opportunities for growth in the sale of officially licensed merchandise.
The store is “a big win for us as we continue with our expansion plans in Asia, and will raise the profile of our offering in the region,” said McRae.

The landside concession is the firm’s fourth location in Hong Kong, with other stores in Causeway Bay, Taikoo Shing and Harbour City.
The store is designed to resemble Museum Context’s Harry Potter flagship store in Victoria Street, Edinburgh – which may have been the inspiration for the wizarding market street depicted in the popular series, Diagon Alley.
