Delivery startup Shippit partners with Singapore Post

Singapore Post has teamed with Shippit.

Logistics technology startup Shippit has partnered with Singapore Post to extend premium delivery services normally available only to large companies to small and medium-sized businesses.

The delivery options – including packages to be delivered directly to Pick Own Parcel Stations (Popstations) and letterboxes, alongside Singpost’s Speedpost Express Service with discounted, pre-negotiated rates for next-day and economy deliveries – allow SMEs to offer end customers a parcel collection option via the Popstation network.

The services will be directly integrated within Shippit’s online platform, which also provides delivery insights that can help optimise shipping costs.

“Shippit aims to disrupt the way legacy logistics firms operate,” said Shippit director of market development Lavneesh Arora. “Through the latest partnership with Singapore’s largest and most prominent logistics company, SMEs can use Shippit to get direct access to SingPost’s premium, enterprise-grade delivery services at a fraction of the cost.”

“Customers can look forward to a hassle-free shipping experience from the moment they confirm their order on Shippit’s award-winning platform to collecting their shipments from us at their doors or at a nearby Popstation,” said Singpost senior VP of group sales Sara Kalle.

Meanwhile, Shippit says it plans to expand into Malaysia, the Philippines and Indonesia.
