American sportswear and footwear retailer Foot Locker has opened its latest Power Store in Gala Place, with interiors inspired by Mong Kok’s vibrant sneaker scene and sports culture.

The store, the brand’s sixth in Hong Kong, is described as bringing an “engaging retail experience” with premium products and elevated in-store presentations to enhance customer experience. The design celebrates basketball with a signature multi-branded basketball collection, and an area dedicated to the game.

The single-level flagship also boasts dedicated women’s and kids areas, a studio, an events space to host brand partners and local influencers (pending for now, due to Covid-19 restrictions).

The store commissioned artworks from four local artists – Way Fung/@digiway, Stanley Wong/@Sneakerconcept, Brian Liu/@824Hachi and Zoie Lam/@Zlism, to help set the tone for how Foot Locker will cater to the local community.

“This has been a dream come true to have a store in this area where sneaker-style is so inspired and alive in the streets and really around every corner,” said Tomas Petersson, GM and VP, Foot Locker Asia.

Customers can also expect a broad selection from brands like Nike, Jordan, Adidas, Puma, Converse, New Balance, Under Armour and streetwear brands, including Chinatown Market and Carrots, and access to the largest selection of Nike Air Max Plus available in the market
