Japan’s Lixil adopts DTC model in Singapore retail store launch

Japanese housing products manufacturer Lixil has launched a DTC flagship store in Singapore, featuring sustainable living solutions.

Located at 24 Mohd Sultan Road, the showroom spans 6000sqft, offering multiple smart technologies including virtual reality for interior design planning, touchless faucets and flushing systems.

The store houses products from Grohe and American Standard, with plans to include Inax, the Japanese brand that manufactures innovative sanitaryware and artistic ceramic tiles.

The launch comes at a time when concerns around sanitation and hygiene have risen due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Singapore’s recent commitment on sustainability and its exemplary handling of the pandemic showcases a rising awareness on these global issues,” said Satoshi Konagai, leader at Lixil Water Technology Asia Pacific.

“We believe there is a growing demand for solutions to address them.”
