Puma will open a giant flagship on Singapore’s Orchard Road in June after manager Lendlease Global Commercial Reit secured additional floor area for its 313@Somerset shopping centre. 

The Puma Singapore flagship – the sports brand’s first in Southeast Asia – will take up 660sqm and carry the full Puma range, including Puma Select.  

“The opening of our first flagship store in Southeast Asia is a key milestone in our expansion plans for the region,” said Sanjay Roy, GM Southeast Asia at Puma. 

“We look forward to bringing fans of the brand a fuller Puma experience with exclusive product lines at the new store.”

The new Puma Singapore store headlines a list of new and additional tenants of 313@Somerset, largely made possible by expanding the leasable floor space by 948sqm. 

Lendlease Global is calling the extension Somerset Belt and says it aims to create “a vibrant youth precinct as part of the Singapore Tourism Board’s wider plan to rejuvenate Orchard Road into a must-visit lifestyle and leisure destination”. 

“The additional gross floor area allows us to create a mall that connects with the surrounding environment, communities and our partners to deliver exceptional experiences for all our stakeholders,” said Kelvin Chow, CEO of the Reit manager. “The extra space has also enabled us to bring to the market novel concepts through collaborations with more retail partners. More importantly, this will help revitalise Singapore’s main shopping belt and enhance the asset’s value.”

Besides Puma, the mix of new tenants at 313@Somerset includes lifestyle brands Eclaire Atelier, Yield, Pearly Lustre, Kskin, La Carriere, Oakley and Yan’s.

Ohayo Mama San, a sushi and Japanese fusion restaurant and coconut drink concept Super Coconut, which will open its first flagship there, headline a new F&B offer. Other F&B tenants include Wokker by A-Roy Thai Restaurant, Francesca’s, Playmade, Chimi’s, Bober Tea, Pepper Lunch Go!, Ice Cream Bar, Super Coconut and Ramburger. 

Besides expanding 313@Somerset, Lendlease will develop the Grange Road car park into a multi-functional event space, hosting concerts, films and events along with an experiential food culture and history attraction.
