E-commerce players, Zalora and Myntra, have joined hands to bring Southeast Asian fashion to India.
The partnership allows Indian customers to access about 5000 fashion items from Zalora’s portfolio of in-house labels, most of which are activewear, workwear and occasion wear. Zalora said the partnership marks the first fashion brand from Southeast Asia to be brought to India.
“Myntra continues to be at the helm of enabling sought-after international brands to reach fashion-conscious consumers in India,” said Sharon Pais, chief business officer at Myntra. “Through our partnership with Zalora, we further our commitment to bring the best of global fashion within easy access of our shoppers.”
Under the partnership, Myntra offered a dedicated brand store for Zalora on Myntra-Mall. Zalora expects the partnership will enable it to achieve a strong start and establish its footprint in the burgeoning Indian fashion market.
“Joining hands with Myntra reflects the evolving retail and e-commerce opportunity in Asia,” said Gunjan Soni, CEO of Zalora.
Part of Global Fashion Group, Southeast Asia’s fashion e-commerce platform has a presence in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia & Brunei, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Taiwan. Meanwhile, Myntra has partnered with more than 5000 fashion and lifestyle brands.
