A five-storey retail space on the lower levels of the new Park Silom tower under completion in Bangkok’s Silom neighbourhood will be managed by Siam Piwat, operator of the high-profile  IconSiam and One Siam shopping destinations.

Siam Piwat was chosen by the developers of the 39-storey mixed-use project, NYE & RGP Development Co – a collaboration between NYE Estate Co – and listed Thai conglomerate Minor International. The three companies are promising a “one-of-a-kind retail experience” that caters to the lifestyles of office workers, and Thais and tourists with high purchasing power.

The property is located on the corner of Silom Rd and Soi Convent, underneath the Sala Daeng BTS Skytrain station and a short distance from the multistorey Central Silom shopping centre. It has been under construction since the demolition of multiple properties prior to the advent of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Ornruedi Na-Ranong, CEO at NYE Estate, said the appointment of Siam Piwat with the company’s experience and vision in shopping destinations, would “further enhance Park Silom’s credentials among retailers”.

The space will house a mixture of food and beverage offers and upmarket brands, overlooking a 1600sqm public leisure space between the building and Silom Road. A sky garden is also under construction on an upper floor.

Chollachat Meksupha, senior executive VP of business development and real estate at Siam Piwat, said Park Silom is set to become “a new landmark of the Silom area” and help revive the suburb as a prime business district in Bangkok.

Several embassies, medical facilities and private educational organisations are located in the Silom hinterland along with a growing array of high-profile local and international restaurants and the area is attracting financial institutions and multinational corporations.
