B for Bagel opens first overseas store, in Singapore

South Korean brand B for Bagel has launched its first international location, in Tanglin Mall, Orchard, Singapore. 

The store, which is located on the basement floor, is adorned with the main theme colour orange and has spaces for consumers to take Instagram photos and selfies.

B For Bagel is a South Korean bagel brand based in Gangnam, Seoul, that specialises in sweet and savoury versions of the New York-style bread.

The brand is renowned for its affordability and customers can sample some specialities, including the Peach Cloud, a hefty bagel loaded with fluffy mascarpone and peaches, in addition to the shop’s standard fare including the Soboro, Cinnamon Orange, and Salt N Butter.

South Korea is renowned for its bakery chains, which often feature in K-movies and K-pop music videos, such as Paris Baguette and Tous Les Jours. Bakeries are commonly linked with coffee cafes and serve both European and Korean bread.

Around 13,700 food and beverage services were available in Singapore in 2020, according to Statista. These businesses included cafes, food courts, restaurants, fast food outlets, caterers, and other dining venues.
