Thailand’s retail conglomerate, Central Retail Corporation, is reforming the branding of its food business for the first time in its 26 years of history, unifying all its retail models under the brand ‘Tops’.

The food retail business will be streamlined into four retail models. Tops Markets, Tops Superstore, Tops Daily and Top Online will be unified as Tops, described as a “fully equipped” supermarket. Central Food Halls in shopping malls will be rebranded Tops Food Hall.

The group has also introduced a new retail model dubbed ‘Tops Fine Food’ and a membership store model Tops Club, the first in Southeast Asia.

The retail group said the reform, dubbed ‘26.1.O’, will come with an updated brand image and an ‘Every Day Discovery’ concept, marking “the start of the journey into a new retail area”. The Tops logo has been redesigned to reflect a more “modern and unique” approach.

“The letter ‘O’ reaffirms our position as an outstanding omnichannel food retailer in Thailand,” said Chakkit Chatupanyachotikul, head of marketing, PR & CSV at Central Food Retail.

“We are ready to embark on the third decade of modern retail and we will build a strong brand DNA for Tops to become a hub of all lifestyles for all generations.”
