E-commerce platform Lilla by Sociolla goes offline

Indonesian e-commerce platform Lilla by Sociolla has launched its first physical location, at Pondok Indah Mall, Jakarta. 

Featuring purple as the main colour for the design concept, the store offers over 1000 products for moms and babies, ranging from personal care, fashion, bedding essentials and diaper bags. 

Lilla by Sociolla was first launched in 2020 as an online platform by the beauty technology business Social Bella, concentrating on moms and families. The brand also intends to give a space for Indonesian mothers owing to a shortage of platforms for personal care and beauty products.

Founded in 2015, Social Bella operates 60 physical stores in Indonesia and Vietnam. The brand opened its first Sociolla physical store in Indonesia in 2019, targeting to enhance the O2O shopping experience. In the midst of the pandemic last year, it rolled out five stores in different cities in the country. 

Social Bella opened an online store and a physical location in Vietnam in 2020, marking the company’s first international market entry. It also collaborated with Vietnam’s MOI Cosmetics to distribute its products.

In addition, the company last month received $60 million in its most recent fundraising, which was led by two existing investors, Temasek and L Catterton.
