Singapore-based brand Just Dough has shut down its operations, citing labour shortages and inflation-driven rising material costs.

This month, the brand announced the closure of three of its stores: AMK Hub, Clementi Mall, and ESR Changi. Just Dough announced the closure on social media, and it follows the closure of its Junction 8 location on March 20.

Just Dough’s Clementi location will be the last to close on July 2. The company blamed the closures on labour constraints and rising material costs and thanked its consumers for their support over the past seven years.

Just Dough is well-known for its wide selection of steamed mantous. Its mantous were reasonably priced under S$3, and came in Plain, Red Bean, Yam, Purple Sweet Potato, and Banana Chocolate flavours.

Meanwhile, Mister Donut, a Japanese doughnut brand, announced its arrival in Singapore in May, opening its first outlet at Bishan’s Junction 8 mall.
