New York-based ice cream chain Van Leeuwen has opened its first Asian physical location in Singapore, selling French and vegan ice creams in classic and distinctive flavours.

The Van Leeuwen shop is located on Orchard Road and has a bright design with a white facade and rainbow interior.

The venue also serves milkshakes, root beer floats, sundaes, and ice cream pints with prices ranging from SGD6.5-7.5 (US$4.8-5.6) per scoop.

Van Leeuwen was founded in 2008 with the goal of providing “good ice cream” and has now expanded to 50 sites across the US.

Besides the French-inspired recipe, Van Leeuwen is also known for its vegan ice cream, which, according to the brand, emphasises consumers’ health by using naturally sourced ingredients.
