Chinese collectible toy retailer Pop Mart will launch its first brick-and-mortar store in Thailand next month, in collaboration with local distributor Minor International Group.

The new launch is part of Pop Mart’s aim to strengthen its expansion in the Southeast Asia market, following successful operations in Taiwan, Malaysia, and Australia.

“This dynamic partnership will leverage the unique strengths of each entity to collaboratively nurture the growth of art and toy culture across Thailand”, president of Pop Mart International Justin Moon wrote on his LinkedIn account.

Pop Mart’s international expansion is accelerating, driven by immersive stores and high-profile collaborations with global artists and companies.

The company currently operates in over 23 countries, with more than 350 physical stores and over 2000 Roboshops (cashless vending machines) worldwide.

Minor International Group’s lifestyle division has around 500 retail stores on behalf of brands including Brooks Brothers, Esprit, Bossini, Etam, OVS, Radley, Anello, Charles & Keith, and Pedro. It also operates fast food and quick service restaurant chains in Southeast Asia, including Bonchon, Sizzler, Dairy Queen and Burger King.
