Korean beauty retailer Wishcompany saw its sales surge 30 per cent to 72 billion won (US$54 million) last year, thanks to remarkable growth in Northern Europe, India, and South Korea.

“I’m personally experiencing the expansion of K-beauty’s influence alongside K-Entertainment and K-Content,” Wishcompany CEO Park Soung-ho said.

The company’s flagship brand ‘Dear, Klairs,’ rose about 17 per cent, including a 26 per cent increase in Vietnam.

Its other brand ‘By Wishtrend’ recently launched plant-based retinol Vitamin A-mazing Bakuchiol Night Cream and earned a growth rate of 56 per cent.

The group’s sales soared 150 per cent in Norway and 95.3 per cent in Sweden. In India and Korea, the company’s sales climbed 43.2 per cent and 22 per cent respectively.

“We will find mega markets that have plenty of room for growth and expand them further in the future,” the CEO said.
