US cafe chain Blue Bottle has kick-started its expansion into Southeast Asia with a pop-up location in Singapore.
The pop-up gift shop, located inside the global flagship store of Japanese fashion label Lumine at Raffles City shopping centre, will open for a limited time from August 27.
This not only marks Blue Bottle’s first engagement in Singapore but also celebrates its partnership with Lumine and “the rich influence of Japanese culture” on the brand. The company plans to introduce a broader range of offerings in the city-state in the coming time, including its first cafe in the region.
The gift shop will spotlight Blue Bottle’s instant coffee and premium matcha products. It will also sell drinkware, accessories and exclusive reversible tote bags.
The store will launch an exhibition on August 31, showcasing the brand’s California roots and Japanese influences, as well as its commitment to specialty coffee and innovation.
Founded in 2002 by James Freeman, Blue Bottle operates more than 100 stores in the US, Japan, South Korea, China and Hong Kong.
